CRISIS INTERVENTION (CHS-252154)
Course Description: In group discussions and assignments, learn the aims and assumptions of crisis intervention treatments, the primary procedures of crisis intervention techniques, applications of each technique and a six-step model that provides a systematic way of dealing with people in crisis. Discover strategies for handling a variety of different crisis situations and understand why certain techniques and strategies are used in specific situations. Students will be required to complete the following assignments for this course: four written assignments. Requires working knowledge of human service, health or community organizations. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
