ARTS MANAGEMENT (ART-223524)
Course Description: This course will provide an advanced exploration of the history and theories of arts management while providing a basic understanding of the language of the artist. The course will provide opportunities for practical application of theory and technique through projects which may include research, case studies , or the development of marketing , business or strategic plans. Students will develop an understanding of the impact on the external environments which affect arts organizations and businesses today. Comparisons between profit and not for profit organizations provide a context for issues of fund raising and various conceptual approaches to management. Prerequisites: Prior knowledge, skills, or experience in art and business or management is required. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
