HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (BME-213504)
Course Description: Students will examine the human resource management function and related activities. The course focuses on the strategic importance of this function for effective management and organizational success. Students will analyze the relationships among organizational strategies and HR policies/procedures. Topics include: job analysis and design, recruitment and selection, compensation and motivation, training and development, employee rights and discipline, and labor-management relations. Note to NYS Nursing Home Administrator Certificate students: this course fulfills the requirement in Personnel Management. Prerequisites: Principles of Management or equivalent knowledge Note: This course was formerly titled, Human Resource Management and Development This online course is offered through Online Learning.
