Course Description: This study provides an overview of child welfare services in the United States from both historical and contemporary perspectives. Topics may include child maltreatment and protection, preventive family services, the range of out-of-home placements, and the impact of poverty on the lives of families involved in the child welfare system. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
