EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS (CHS-263824)
Course Description: This course will provide students with an understanding of the fundamentals of communication and their application in emergency situations. Students will examine the use of oral and written communications in various levels of emergency and crisis situations and will learn to identify internal and external audiences and analyze their information needs. Students will also gain an understanding of the use of communications systems and the role of technology in facilitating communication during crises. Prerequisites: course work or experience in emergency response or emergency management. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
