DOCUMENTATION IN HUMAN SERVICES (CHS-253164)
Course Description: Learn to plan, implement, and manage a complete documentation system through a variety of case studies and practical applications. Compare and contrast alternative techniques of information collection and analysis and illustrate alternative manual and automated techniques and formats for recording, filing and retrieving information. Apply the legal, ethical, administrative and professional requirements related to the recording and disclosure of private and confidential information. Understand the importance of time management in meeting documentation requirements. Illustrate effective communication skills when documenting course requirements. Create a viable documentation and management information system for a target agency. Course prerequisites: Case Management or equivalent experience. Preferred: Human Service Management, Non-profit Management, or equivalent experience. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
