EPIDEMIOLOGY (SMT-274514)
Course Description: Epidemiology is the examination of disease and health conditions from a population perspective. Introduction to Epidemiology will introduce students to the basic concepts of epidemiology as applied to public health. Students will learn basic principles of epidemiology and how to apply these principles to assess, evaluate, and solve public health issues. Prerequisites: A lower level natural sciences course. In addition, an understanding of descriptive statistics is strongly recommended. NOTE: This course is offered for 8 weeks in the SU1 term only Students obtaining Federal Direct loans: If you are only taking 8 week courses during the Summer term your student loans may be reduced or cancelled.
