MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (SMT-273274)
Course Description: The main aim of this course is to examine the chemical behavior of macromolecules at the molecular level. The student will learn in great detail the structure and function of proteins, nucleic acids and lipids, and the complicated biological processes in which they participate. Topics will include bioenergetics, molecular genetics, replication, transcription, protein modification, and signal transduction. The course is intended for advanced science students and requires a solid foundation in General Chemistry. Prerequisites: Chemistry I, Chemistry II, Biology I, Biology II This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Natural Sciences. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
