Course Description:


While Jane Austen is certainly an important and a famous author, she is much more than that: she is also an icon, an enduring cultural success story, and the center of a cult of personality. In this course, we will examine the work of Austen herself and the work that has been done with her life and her materials, from high culture to pop-culture.

This course meets the General Education requirements in Humanities.
