NURSING INFORMATICS (NUR-203064)
Course Description: This course provides an overview of fundamental nursing informatics concepts and informatics applications in clinical nursing practice, administration, research and education. Philosophical and ethical perspectives on nursing informatics are explored. Nursing informatics competency development is emphasized for the provision of safe, quality, competent nursing care, and to expand the knowledge and wisdom of nursing practice. This course is only available to Empire State College nursing program students.
