CURRICULUM, INSTRUCTION, AND ASSESSMENT (EDU-234144)
Course Description: In this course, students will be introduced to theories of curriculum design and study examples of how they are applied in instructional practice in elementary, middle and/or high school settings. They will learn how to align learning outcomes with instruction and how to utilize assessment strategies such as informal and formal assessments, formative and summative assessments, portfolios, standardized testing, outcomes, and practical applications. Consideration is given to how different contexts and characteristics of learners influence design. Prerequisites: Learning Theories or equivalent. This online course is offered through Online Learning.
