Description: Gain an understanding of the principal variables affecting social change. Includes an overview of some American social trends, particularly the ways social change is affecting the family, the work force, the changing social class structure, ethnic relations, and personal lifestyles. Students taking the course for six credits will read an additional book, and carry out expanded assignments.
