Description: Discuss questions such as "What is philosophy?," "What is human nature?," "What forms our identity?," "What is real?," "Does morality depend on one's culture?," "Can we resolve moral quandries?," and "What is justice?" Develop critical thinking skills and examine basic assumptions people make about the world and their relationship to it. Develop an understanding of who shaped the contemporary Western world view, demonstrate the methods of philosophy, and relate basic philosophical questions to everyday experience. This course meets the general education requirement in Humanities.
