Description: This upper-level course for the Emergency Service Manager will explore the 14 attributes identified by a national consensus document entitled Emergency Medical Services: Agenda for the Future (EMS Agenda). The EMS Agenda represents a contemporary approach to the delivery of EMS operations for the 21st century. The course will serve as a foundation course of benefit to EMS students, EMS field providers, EMS and fire service administrators, public health officials, law enforcement officers, military personnel, government officials and other professionals who regularly interact with EMS agencies. A student project of sufficient rigor (approved by the instructor) will be the core of this course and the project will require students to evaluate their respective communities EMS operations and develop performance enhancements.
