Description: Apply principles studied in Counseling Theory (284044). Students arrange a supervised placement in a setting where counseling skills are important.

A solid grounding in counseling theory is required for this practicum. Academic components will include selected readings and development of an agreed upon set of learning objectives. Due to the variability in possible placement sites, the reading requirement will allow flexibility.

Prerequisite: Counseling Theory and Theories of Personality or equivalents.

Important Note: The January 2008 term is the last term this course will be offered. Practicum in Human Services (CHS-254064) replaced this course.
