Description: THIS COURSE WAS LAST OFFERED IN JANUARY 2010.

This course presents an integrated set of techniques for software analysis and design based on object-oriented concepts. The techniques focus on producing the artifacts and work products, expressed in UML, appropriate for the analysis and design phases of the software development lifecycle. Models are prototyped.

Note 1: students seeking a traditional approach should consider SMT-273204.

Note 2: students must be comfortable using microcomputer applications, and have the ability to install software. Students must have regular access to a computer on which they can install software.

Prerequisites: an introductory information systems course such as a programming course or Computer Information Systems, or work in some aspect of computer information systems.

Important Note: this course was renamed effective the January 2008 term and was formerly known as Systems Analysis and Design 2. Students who have successfully completed 273214, Systems Analysis and Design 2, should not enroll in this course.
