Description: This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the current theories and research findings about human development, from the beginnings of life through the end. Students are introduced to the major conceptualizations and methods of understanding development (i.e., theories, frameworks and research models.) Students will study expected developmental achievements and variations, both group and individual, as well as the factors, biological and environmental, that influence development across the lifespan.

This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Social Sciences.

NOTE: This course was previously offered as Human Development. Students, who completed 282174, cannot take Human Development: Introductory.
