Course Description:


Study some of the important legal and ethical issues facing the providers, payors, and consumers of health services. Review the basics of the legal system and processes as they relate to the health services industry. Study legal and ethical issues related to: access, quality of care, patients' rights, medical technology, organ transplants, licensure, and financing of health services. Address legal and ethical issues from the perspectives of health service providers, payors, and consumers.

Prerequisite: The United States Health Systems or equivalent knowledge.
