Course Description:


Investigate several markets and groups of firms and how they respond to a deregulated environment. Emphasis is placed on a broad range of perspectives and issues surrounding deregulation in industries such as airlines, electric utilities and telecommunications. Students apply concepts from microeconomic analysis and also examine the politics of regulation.

Prerequisite: Microeconomics, or permission of instructor.

This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Social Sciences.
