Learn the aims and assumptions of crisis intervention treatments, the primary theories and procedures of crisis intervention techniques, applications of each technique, and a six-step model that provides a systematic way of dealing with people in crisis. Discover strategies for handling a variety of different crisis situations and understand why certain techniques and strategies are used in specific situations.
Requires working knowledge of human services, health or community organizations.
