Description: Focus on the Constitution in connection with: (a) First Amendment freedoms of speech and the press and, (b) separation of powers and foreign policy. The two topics are distinguishable in law and adjudication, yet they have a common relationship to practices of citizenship and the public expression and exchange of ideas that are necessary to the maintenance of democracy and constitutional government. Negotiate with the tutor to determine course activities and outcomes.
