Description: Analyze the activities of workers and unions within national and international economies, and survey wage and benefit levels, collective bargaining strategies, different models for economic development, and labor's economic agenda and the future of trade unionism. This course meets the general education requirement in Social Science.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of labor history and/or economic issues facing unions today. Students who are not familiar with economics may wish to take an additional two credits as an introduction to economics.
