Description: Explore the nature, determinants, and socioeconomic impact of collective bargaining and labor-management relations in the United States. Attention is devoted to the procedural and substantive aspects of the collective bargaining process and the settlement of labor-management disputes. Subject material focuses on the structure, issues, and activities arising from the establishment of the union and the bargaining relationship; contract negotiations, gamesmanship, and the problems of reaching an agreement; and administration of the contract.
