Description: Pursue an advanced, in-depth examination of corrections as it is practiced in the United States at the federal, state, and local levels, examining adult and juvenile corrections, both institutional and community-based. Political and economic perspectives, management aspects, and evaluation methodologies will be covered. Students will be expected to perform original research, either library-based or on the Internet.

Prerequisite: Prior learning in the field, or substantial law enforcement experience.
