Description: Explore the human life cycle and biological, psychological, and social variables in the aging process. Includes biological and emotional aging; the aging of society, as well as of individuals; society's changing views of aging; new roles for people over 65; and death: the ultimate transition. Discover how the understanding of aging in our society has changed over the years, especially in the past quarter-century. Discuss death as the final transition in the human life cycle, including societal attitudes about death, the process of dying, and the importance of bereavement.
