Students will learn how the camera works and how to produce effective content and form. Students will be expected to discuss and analyze the relationship between content and form in photographs as well as the relationship between one photograph and others, to show an understanding of the communicative and artistic potential of the medium. Note: Students need access to a VCR, camera (a 35mm with adjustable f-stops and shutter is preferable, but ANY camera is acceptable), a VCR, the Internet, a photo-developing service and digital capability to submit photographs as low-resolution JPEG images.
