Description: This study will examine the theories, concepts and research that impact how women develop as managers and leaders within organizations. We will explore the challenges and opportunities women encounter in workplaces that impact their career choices and progression and how organizational members (men and women) can help create a workplace that encourages and promotes talent, regardless of gender. Topics covered will include: gender and leadership perceptions, stereotypes, work-life issues, and ways to enact change. This course is relevant to all students who are interesting in exploring the roles they can play in advancing women in the workplace.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of management concepts through career/job experiences or lower level study in management.
