Description: This course will introduce students to the physics of planets, moons and stars. They will also learn about telescopes, celestial geometry, the history of astronomy and the scientific method. Activities will include solving both qualitative and quantitative problems, using planetarium software, and observing the sky outdoors.

Prerequisite: knowledge of basic high school algebra.

This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Natural Sciences.
