Description: Anatomy and Physiology I is the first course of the two-term sequence in anatomy and physiology. This course serves as an introduction to the basic principles of anatomy and physiology. Themes to be explored include integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous and special senses systems which are covered in detail. This course gives the student an in-depth understanding of how these systems work both independently and together in the human body.

NOTE: This course has a laboratory component which requires a lab kit that must be purchased from ESC's bookstore (http://www.esc.edu/bookstore/). Please order in time to allow for shipping before the start of the term.

This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Natural Sciences.
