Description: This course is designed to give students' a broad understanding of the history and culture of the peoples of the Caribbean. Utilizing an interdisciplinary approach, the course will examine the many facets of Caribbean society through a humanities lens. The course will enhance students abilities to think logically and respond critically to a range of both primary and secondary historical evidence and broaden students awareness on the variety of contemporary and historical issues and interpretations relevant to the Caribbean. Additionally, students will be asked to subscribe to Netflix.

This course fully meets the General Education requirement in Other World Civilizations.
