Description: Examine the need for emergency management in American society, and the emergency management process. Understand an emergency operations center and examine the role of the three levels of American government in emergency management. Study the concepts of mutual aid and the team approach to emergency management.

Recommended: previous study in College Writing, Introduction to Public Administration and/or Advanced Fire Administration, plus State and Local Government or equivalents, or have experience in administration, some background in chemistry, as well as fire training and experience.
