Val Chukhlomin's Short Bio
Dr. Val Chukhlomin is an intercultural educator, consultant and corporate trainer. Born and raised in Russia, in the early 2000s he has moved to Sydney, Australia. Since 2006 he is residing in the U.S. He is currently associated with SUNY Empire State College, in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he is an academic area coordinator of Business, Management and Economics with the Center for Distance Learning and MBA.
Dr. Chukhlomin has extensive experience in the field of international marketing and management of higher education. In particular, he has served as Program Director, Founding Dean (School of International Business), Vice-President (Marketing, Commercial and International) in a major State University of Omsk in Russia. In Australia he founded and run an international education consultancy company (New York Institute of Business Pacific Division). He has developed and delivered a wide range of higher learning and training programs on international business, intercultural management, global cultural diversity, distance learning, doing business in Russia, multicultural teambuilding, and the successful cultural transition of young Russian professionals working overseas, international professionals in Australia or American professionals in Russia.
He has also consulted major Russian banks, oil and energy companies in the field of services marketing and human resource development. In Australia he consulted educational institutions on international marketing and recruitment.
Dr. Chukhlomin holds an economics degree from a leading Russian research University of Novosibirsk, a postgraduate certificate in business administration from Southern Cross University in Australia, and a Ph.D. in Economics and International Political Economy from the USSR Academy of Sciences. He is Fellow in Australian Institute of Management and a Certified Practicing Marketer in Australia Marketing Institute.
Dr. Chukhlomin is also an expert in international education and distance learning, and has created several international programs bringing business students and corporate managers from several countries together to form cross-cultural teams. Clients for whom Dr. Chukhlomin has consulted or provided cross-cultural and other training include wide range of private sector and government organizations in different industries in Russia, China, Australia, United States, and Canada. His biography was included in Marquis Who is Who in the World and Who is Who in American Education in 1998-2007.
