Before the First Day of Study Group -- Obtain book from bookstore and register for my study group at the following site: www.academic.cengage.com/login.This registration process enables you to have access to the online segment of the study. It is in addition to the registration process you have already completed to be enrolled in this study at ESC. Familiarize yourself with the Cengage site and resources. You will be required to keep a rolling log of the questions that you submit each week from the reading which you will submit at the end of the term in addition to submitting these questions one at a time each week.
For Week 2 –Kalat: Read Chapter 1 and Appendix A: Brief, Basic Chemistry

Complete at least one quiz (Take as many as you like; highest grade will count)
Week 3 -- Read Kalat, Chapter 2
Complete at least one quiz on each chapter

Be prepared to orally describe the project you would like to investigate and present to your peers

Submit WRITTEN paragraph describing the final project you will present to the study group. Your oral presentation on a topic of special interest to you in this area of study and can be as creative as you wish to make it. I need to know in advance if you will be needing audio/visual equipment. It must include handouts for your groupmates that will enable them to pursue their own learning in the area of your presentation.
