The General Education Requirement at Empire

Empire State College along with other State University of New York institutions recognizes ten liberal arts topic areas that must be included in a degree program. Whether a credit study fulfills General Education is subject to review by the degree plan review committee, unless it is a pre-approved general education course from the center for distance learning or from another SUNY school.
