Student views of individual education at a non-traditional college

In 2001-2002, Adele Anderson and Emily Gould conducted a focus group study with nine different student groups across Empire State College. We presented results from this study at conferences in the college (All College 2002), as well as at regional (CELT 2002) and national (CAEL 2003, Society for Applied Anthropology 2004) venues. Currently we have a manuscript under review on the differently nuanced views of time, purpose, and agency in individual education as held by students, faculty, and administration.
