PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY (HDV-284324)
Course Description: This course focuses on how externally-ingested chemicals interact with the brain to affect mood, thinking, perception, and behavior. In addition to foundations of nervous system functioning, the course will include issues related to the ethics of medication treatment for mental illness, the effects of medications for specific disorders, and the neurobiological mechanisms of drug abuse and addiction for different classes of drugs. Prerequisites: Introduction to Psychology This online course is offered through Online Learning.
